Penknife Pickles

Penknife Pickles: dill-ish and delish!

Direct from the Capitol of Condiments — that fair Burgh of Pitts, comes a recipe from the prodigious family of products...at least 57 in number...HEINZ.

Heinz_Products.jpg

A wide transatlantic net was cast to acquire some of the many HEINZ products needed, such as Cream of Tomato Soup, and canned Macaroni and Cheese.

Fortunately, across that angry, leaden body, lies and island fully stocked to serve as our larder. Which island you may ask?

Capri?

Ibiza?

DON'T BE DAFT!

ENGLAND, SIRRAH! This stubborn isle has steadfastly continued to eat, and enjoy canned foods with a gusto that perhaps no other country can claim.

ADVANTAGE: THE STATES, as dear old Albion yields a small portion of its dragon's horde.

This selection, part of a full-page advertisement, for those "Brothers of the Skillet", male amateur epicureans who happen to have a great many HEINZ products on hand.

The original issue and ad.

RECIPE: Penknife Pickles
